In September 1944, Operation Market Garden began. Large-scale airborne troops were deployed to capture strategic bridges from the south. The bridge at Nijmegen was taken by the Americans on September 20. The capture of the bridge at Arnhem was ultimately a failure.

This bicycle tour takes you along places that remind you of the battle between the two bridges. You will hear and see what happened in the Over-Betuwe during and after Operation Market Garden.
