The Sangro River War Cemetery is a Commonwealth war cemetery in Torino di Sangro, Italy. A total of 2,617 Allied soldiers are buried here who defended the shoreline near the Sangro River against the Germans retreating on the Winter Line. Beside the cemetery is the Sangro River Cremation Memorial, which commemorates 517 Indian soldiers whose remains were cremated in accordance with their faith.
