Jan Westhoeve

Jan Westhoeve, is an ex-RNLAF Communications and Electronics Engineer / Instructor. Teaching and telling stories is in his blood. When he retired he promised himself that he wanted to do something involving the Second World War.

Through the stories about his great-grandfather (killed in Dachau), grandfather and uncle, who were all in some way involved in the resistance during the Second World War, the war has always been part of his life.
During his annual visits in Normandy ( Sword beach ) he became interested in the No. 4 Commando and the 1er Bataillon de Fusiliers Marins Commandos.

Since these commandos also took part in freeing the Dutch province of Zeeland he also became interested in the Battle for the Scheldt. For a few years now he has been a guide for the Battle of the Scheldt, as well as standard tours he developed, and customized tours.
